Dancing with the Stars

Holly & Dmitry - Quickstep: Boooooring! She was definitely having a hard time keeping up - it looked like he was dragging her around the floor! Bruno said she looked like she was running for a bus (ha). Carrie Ann said he was dragging her around like a ragdoll. She just didn't have the energy to make it look like a real dance. Score: 6, 6, 6

Comedian David & Kim - Salsa: Well, first I have to say that the dude is just plain funnay! Bruno didn't seem to like David's impersonation of him but I thought it was hilarious! He's not the best dancer in the group but I look for him to improve and he's just fun to watch. Score: 6, 5, 6

(Wow! I don't know what is with Bruno this year but he really needs to pull that stick out!)

Denise & Maks - Quickstep: Good chemistry between them and she was very graceful. Good dance but not the most exciting. Score: 7, 7, 7

Belinda (from the Go-Go's) & Jonathan - Salsa: Booooring! She looked stiff and had a hard time "shakin' her stuff". She just looked sort of clumsy. Carrie Ann described her as "lacking in grace". Score: 6, 6, 6

Rodeo Cowboy Ty & Chelsie - Quickstep: Ty is just a cowboy cutie. He started out just a tad stiff but then he loosened up and really brought it home. He did MUCH better than last week and he sure did glue that smile on his face! Score: 7, 6 (totally disagree), 7

Shawn (young gymnast) & Mark - Salsa: She did a great job but could still loosen up a little bit more. She had a lot of energy and was more exciting to watch than most of the dances so far tonight. Score: 8, 8, 8

Steve & Karina - Quickstep: *cringe* *cringe* Bruno described the Apple computer-nerd last week as a Teletubby going mad. He was just painful to watch tonight - poor fella is just terrible. Score: 6, 5, 6 (This happens to be the same score they gave to Comedian David but I'm here to tell ya that David did a much better job than Steve did).

Country singer Chuck & Julie Ann - Salsa: Chuckie, you really sucked!. You moved around a whole lot but didn't dance AT ALL! The judges ripped him a new one tonight. Score: 6, 7, 7 (how did he get a better score than others tonight when he didn't even dance! Hmm - they must have been judging his Omond-like cuteness)!

Linebacker Lawrence & Edyta - Quickstep: He did much better than last week but it was just OK for me although the judges seemed to really like him. He still looked a little clumsy to me. Score: 7, 6, 7

Steve-O (previous druggie) & Lacey - Steve-O didn't compete tonight due to a back injury so the judges based their scores on their dress rehearsal: 5, 4, 5

Wrapper and ex-con (and proud of it) Lil' Kim & Derek - Quickstep: I don't know, I just have a hard time liking someone who is actually proud of being in the slammer jut but she wasn't terrible tonight. It just wasn't that exciting for me. Scores: 8, 7, 8

Melissa (from The Bachelor) & Tony - Salsa: Really fun to watch - best of the night so far - judges obviously agreed. Scores: 9, 8, 9

Gilles & Cheryl - Quickstep: Wow! Gilles' Clark Kent glasses did nothing to hide his sizzlin' hot sexiness! They were fabulous. Scores: 9, 9, 9

Final Comments: I hope the show gets better for me but so far this season something is definitely lacking. The stars of last year were so immediately likable. Maybe this year's stars just haven't blossomed yet except for a select few. I certainly hope it gets more exciting than it has so far but it remains to be seen.

My Top 2 Picks: Melissa and Gilles (obviously)

Bottom 2 Picks: Apple Geek, Steve and Belinda (of the Go-Go's)

I agree with your picks.
We got home from Missouri last night just 3 minutes before dancing started!
They need to cut Apple Geek Steve asap before he crushes his feet even more! Who on earth would continue doing something that was breaking their bones? He seems like a nice guy, in a geeky sort of way :) but the poor guy can't dance!
Melissa's fun to watch.
Gilles reminds me of Tom Cruise, a little too into himself. Maybe I have that wrong but it seemed kind of early to bust out the superman props!
Steve-O, what a knucklehead. I don't think he's going to make it back. He's going to need a lot of drugs to pull off dancing with a back injury and A LOT of drugs when you just came out of rehab? ummm, not a good thing. If he does come back, I hope he's tries to take it seriously, like he did last week. There's something fun about watching him.
That handstand that Belinda did at the end, ughhh! what was that? I'd send her home first!

Yeah, the handstand...it was kinda gross wasn't it!

Oh no! She did it again in the dance-off! MIS-TAKE!

You're supposed to improve in the dance-off. An improvement for that dance would be to change the ending. Instead, she put herself through the humiliation...AGAIN!

Um, she obviously didn't watch herself on TV.

Western Carolina Band Competition

Colbert - God Battle

Colbert Report - The Hummer

(Warning: this clip has some language in it). This is funny because so many people in our neighborhood and area drive Hummers. But unlike this clip, people in our area do not take them offroad - like in the movie "Cars"! I'm sure people curl their lips in disdain when we drive by in our Hyundai and our Ford! :)
